Of Things That Make You Go Huh?- Part 1
Tater tots.
We all know what these are. Theyre part of the infamous potato family, a cousin of sorts. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and tastes. You can buy them in a cylinder, star, and if you look hard enough Im sure that you can find them in a spherical shape.
When I went around and asked people what they thought about the little taters I found that the tots received rave reviews. There was no case in which the person was or seemed frightened of the little bites of goodness. But my optimism was short lived when I stumbled upon one case of a tater tot attack.
When daylight reaches my red sore eyes,
I see the dew droplet hanging from the Muse of Day.
I see her dance and frolic,
To her master, never to come my way.
But as soon as she awoke,
From her pleated and petaled bed,
I find her eyes always succumbing back to slumber,
As my muse awakens, looking hauntingly dead.
Draping an arm around me,
Making my skin begin to crawl,
He unbinds a roll of parchment,
Which bears his wicked scrawl.
Remember love, he says, you signed this,
A contract that binds you along to me.
Were bound by a chain so great,
That neither participant can break free.
I frown and turn,
We feel the light rushing,
Coursing throughout our veins.
Quickly we must push it away,
Knowing that there's nothing more to gain.
Instead we go towards darkness,
Feeling safety in only pain.
We are the ones who live in shadow,
We are the ones who play this game.
The game of life and death,
And everything in between.
You have no idea of what plagues us,
You have no idea of what we've seen.
You may look for us in the depths of rivers,
The search, impossible, it may seem.
Perhaps you'll wait for us while you slumber.
Bad idea.
We'll just follow you while you dream.

St. Patrick’s Day
This is by far my favorite non-gift giving holiday. This is a day where the Irish [and other people who like to drink as much as the Irish] proudly support their local pub. This is also a day where people, from as far as the eye can see, wear ungodly amounts of green. This is seen as a lucky charm of sorts that protects the wearer from pinching abuse. Being one with Irish blood running through me veins I will also be seen sporting a lovely shade of green on every article of clothing that I may possibly wear during the day. I’m even going as far as to wear a charming jingle shamrock necklace- an heirloom that

When I had first heard of this my mind was instantly
This weekend was so much FUN!
When we first arrived at the hotel I was so worried that we were going to be made fun of [thanks to my "friends" who're against nerdy things]. But once we got inside and saw that everyone was in costume I felt totally out of place, like I was going to be made fun of because I wasn't in costume.
I love how everyone was so friendly and accepting. Even though many of the people at the con didn't know each other it was like everyone knew each others name.
I've never felt as comfortable around a few hundred strangers as I did this weekend.
Since I got home I've become really sad that I can no longer smell the sc
